Terms and Conditions1. Scope of Purchase Order: This Purchase Order is exclusively for the benefit of the named Academic Researcher and the research project identified above. All goods and services shall be delivered to the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities, Federal University of Technology, Nigeria Abuja, unless otherwise directed in writing by the Head of Department.
2. Payment Terms: Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice and confirmed delivery of all items listed in this Purchase Order. Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account. The Federal University of Technology, Nigeria Abuja, reserves the right to withhold payment until all quality inspections are satisfactorily completed.
3. Delivery and Acceptance: The supplier shall deliver all physical goods to the specified address in Nigeria Abuja within the timelines stated in the itemised table. The Academic Researcher or a designated representative shall inspect all items upon delivery and sign a delivery receipt. Any defects, shortages, or non-conformities must be reported within five (5) working days of delivery.
4. Warranties and Support: All hardware items shall carry a minimum of a two (2) year manufacturer's warranty. Software licences shall include full technical support and updates for the duration of the licence period. The supplier guarantees that all goods are new, unused, and free from encumbrances.
5. Cancellation and Amendment: This Purchase Order may be cancelled or amended only by mutual written agreement between the authorised signatories of both parties. Cancellation after the supplier has commenced procurement or service delivery shall attract a penalty of ten percent (10%) of the total Purchase Order value.
6. Compliance and Ethics: The supplier acknowledges that this Purchase Order supports academic research conducted under the ethical guidelines of the National Research Ethics Committee (NREC), Nigeria Abuja. All data-related services must comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019.
7. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nigeria Abuja.
8. Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government policy changes, or civil unrest in Nigeria Abuja.
