This Purchase Order is issued to procure specialized laboratory equipment, research materials, and academic resources required by the designated Academic Researcher assigned to the ongoing interdisciplinary study on coastal biodiversity in the Sri Lanka Colombo metropolitan region. All items listed below are to be delivered to the University of Colombo research laboratory, Colombo 03, Sri Lanka Colombo.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This Purchase Order is issued by the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Colombo, and constitutes a binding procurement agreement upon acceptance by the Supplier. All items are specifically designated for the use of the assigned Academic Researcher under Project Code RES/SLC/2025/019.
Delivery of all items shall be made to the University of Colombo Research Laboratory, 100 University Road, Colombo 03, Sri Lanka Colombo, no later than 15 August 2025. The Supplier shall bear all transportation, insurance, and handling costs within Sri Lanka Colombo and its surrounding districts.
Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice and confirmed delivery of all items listed in this Purchase Order. Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the Supplier's registered account in Sri Lanka Colombo.
The Academic Researcher or their authorized delegate shall conduct a quality inspection upon delivery. Any item found defective, damaged, or not conforming to the specifications stated in this Purchase Order shall be replaced or refunded within fourteen (14) days at the Supplier's sole expense.
All equipment shall carry a minimum warranty period of twelve (12) months from the date of installation in Sri Lanka Colombo, unless a longer warranty is explicitly stated in the item remarks. The Supplier shall provide on-site technical support in Colombo for the duration of the warranty.
The Supplier warrants that all items are new, unused, and free from any intellectual property encumbrance. The Academic Researcher shall have full, unrestricted use of all software, journals, and materials procured under this Purchase Order for the duration of the research project.
This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the courts of jurisdiction in Colombo, Sri Lanka Colombo.
Neither party may assign or transfer this Purchase Order without the prior written consent of the other party. The Academic Researcher's role under this Purchase Order may not be reassigned without formal notification to the Supplier.
All communications regarding this Purchase Order shall be directed to the procurement office at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Colombo, in writing via email or registered post.
