Delivery and Installation Terms
All equipment covered under this Purchase Order shall be delivered to the Colombo Astronomical Research Institute, 78 Peradeniya Road, Sri Lanka Colombo 07, within forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of this order. The supplier is responsible for all international shipping, customs clearance at the Colombo Port, and final delivery to the Sri Lanka Colombo premises. The Lead Astronomer or his designated representative shall be present at the time of delivery to inspect all items for transit damage. Installation and initial calibration of the telescope mounts, spectrograph, and imaging systems shall be completed within five (5) business days of delivery. The environmental monitoring kit must be configured to account for the tropical humidity and monsoon conditions typical of Sri Lanka Colombo, ensuring the equipment remains operational year-round.
Payment Terms
- Advance Payment: 30% of the total Purchase Order value (USD 28,231.50) shall be remitted via international wire transfer within seven (7) business days of order confirmation.
- Balance Payment: The remaining 70% (USD 65,873.50) shall be due upon successful delivery, inspection, and sign-off by the Astronomer at the Sri Lanka Colombo facility.
- Payment Method: All payments shall be made in US Dollars via SWIFT transfer to the supplier's designated bank account in Munich, Germany.
