The Biologist engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties and responsibilities while operating out of the Institute's primary laboratory located in Banani, Bangladesh Dhaka:

• Conduct monthly field surveys of mangrove flora and fauna in the Sundarbans and report findings to the Institute's research committee in Bangladesh Dhaka.
• Perform molecular analysis (DNA barcoding, PCR-based identification) of collected biological specimens at the Institute's molecular biology laboratory.
• Prepare detailed research reports, data sets, and photographic documentation on a bi-weekly basis for submission to the project director.
• Collaborate with the Institute's team of ecologists, chemists, and data analysts to integrate the Biologist's findings into the broader conservation strategy for Bangladesh Dhaka's biodiversity corridors.
• Present research findings at national and international conferences, representing the Institute and Bangladesh Dhaka as the host institution.
• Maintain all laboratory safety protocols as mandated by the Bangladesh Department of Environment and the Institute's internal health and safety policy.

• Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in monthly installments within 15 working days of receipt of a valid invoice from the Biologist. The first installment shall be due within 7 working days of the commencement date specified in this Purchase Order.
• Commencement Date: 01 July 2025. The Biologist is expected to report to the Institute's office in Banani, Bangladesh Dhaka, on or before this date.
• Contract Duration: Twelve (12) months, extendable by mutual written agreement of both parties. Any extension shall be documented as an amendment to this Purchase Order.
• Intellectual Property: All research data, publications, patents, and intellectual property generated by the Biologist during the term of this Purchase Order shall be the sole property of GreenLeaf Research & Development Institute, Bangladesh Dhaka.
• Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Biologist shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
• Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Bangladesh Dhaka in accordance with the Bangladesh Arbitration Act, 2001.
• Confidentiality: The Biologist agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary data, unpublished research, and internal communications of the Institute. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
• Compliance: The Biologist shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Bangladesh, including but not limited to the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1912, the Environment Conservation Act, 1995, and all directives issued by the Bangladesh Department of Environment.
