The Biologist shall be responsible for designing and executing field sampling protocols, laboratory analysis of biological specimens, data interpretation, and the preparation of peer-reviewed scientific reports in accordance with the standards set by the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, State of Qatar.

5.1 This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the State of Qatar and the Qatar Doha commercial jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the Qatar International Arbitration Centre (QIAC) in Doha.
5.2 The Biologist engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a valid Qatari work permit and residency card. The Supplier is responsible for ensuring all immigration and labour compliance prior to the commencement date.
5.3 The Biologist shall report directly to the Director of Research Operations at the Institute’s Doha facility and shall adhere to all institutional safety protocols, data confidentiality agreements, and the Qatar National Research Strategy (QNRS) guidelines.
5.4 Invoices shall be submitted monthly by the 5th business day. Payment shall be processed within 30 calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as stipulated under Qatari commercial law.
5.5 The Buyer reserves the right to terminate this Purchase Order with 60 days’ written notice in the event of material breach, failure to meet performance KPIs, or non-compliance with Qatari regulatory requirements applicable to the Biologist’s role.
5.6 All intellectual property, research data, and publications generated by the Biologist during the term of this Purchase Order shall be the sole property of Al Rayyan Environmental & Life Sciences Institute, Doha, Qatar.
5.7 The Supplier warrants that the Biologist shall possess all qualifications, certifications, and professional memberships required to perform the duties outlined in this Purchase Order within the Qatar Doha scientific and regulatory framework.
The Biologist shall be physically present and operational at the Institute’s laboratory and field stations in Doha, Qatar, no later than 01 July 2025. A detailed onboarding schedule, including orientation to local protocols, safety training, and equipment familiarisation, shall be completed within the first 14 calendar days of commencement.
