Scope of Work — Biologist Role in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

This Purchase Order is issued by Al-Najd Biomedical Research Institute to procure the professional services of a qualified Biologist for execution at its primary research facility located in the Olaya District of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Biologist engaged under this Purchase Order shall be responsible for the full spectrum of biological research activities, including but not limited to: the design and execution of molecular biology experiments; the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment; the supervision of a team of up to eight (8) junior research assistants; the preparation of monthly progress reports to the institute's Board of Directors in Riyadh; and the strict adherence to all biological safety standards mandated by the Saudi Ministry of Health and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).

The Biologist shall conduct all fieldwork, sampling, and on-site laboratory activities within the administrative boundaries of the Riyadh metropolitan area, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any travel to other regions of Saudi Arabia for collaborative research purposes must be pre-approved in writing by the institute's Project Director. The Biologist is expected to maintain a valid professional practice license issued by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) throughout the entire contract period specified in this Purchase Order.

Terms and Conditions
  1. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Saudi Commercial Transactions Law and all applicable regulations of the Riyadh Municipality regarding laboratory and research facility operations.
  2. Compliance: The Biologist shall comply with all Saudi Arabian labor laws, including the requirement for Saudization (Nitaqat) where applicable, and shall ensure that all biological materials handled in Riyadh are properly registered with the SFDA.
  3. Intellectual Property: All research findings, data, publications, and intellectual property generated by the Biologist during the performance of this Purchase Order shall be the sole property of Al-Najd Biomedical Research Institute, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
  4. Confidentiality: The Biologist agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary research data, patient information, and institutional trade secrets encountered during the course of work in Riyadh. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
  5. Payment: Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the Biologist's designated account in Saudi Riyal (SAR) within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as permitted under Saudi commercial law.
  6. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Biologist shall complete all ongoing experiments and deliver a comprehensive handover report to the institute in Riyadh before the final working day.
  7. Insurance: The Biologist shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of SAR 1,000,000, valid in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the duration of this Purchase Order.
  8. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in accordance with the rules of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA).
