1. Description of ProcurementThis Purchase Order is issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Medical Services Authority for the engagement of a qualified Biomedical Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support, maintenance, calibration, and advisory services for all medical diagnostic and therapeutic equipment installed across the Bangladesh Dhaka metropolitan hospital network. The Biomedical Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring that all biomedical devices operate in full compliance with the Bangladesh Technical Standards and Testing (BTST) regulations and the guidelines issued by the Directorate General of Health Services, Bangladesh Dhaka.
2. Scope of ServicesThe Biomedical Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties within the Bangladesh Dhaka operational area:

- Delivery / Commencement: The Biomedical Engineer shall report for duty at the designated Bangladesh Dhaka facility no later than 10 business days from the date of acceptance of this Purchase Order.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in monthly installments within 30 days of invoice submission. All payments shall be processed through the Bangladesh Dhaka government banking channel via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account.
- Qualification Requirement: The Biomedical Engineer must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution in Bangladesh or abroad, and must be registered with the Bangladesh Council of Engineers (BCE). A minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification experience in hospital biomedical equipment management is mandatory.
- Working Location: Primary duty station shall be the Bangladesh Dhaka central hospital campus. The Biomedical Engineer may be required to travel to satellite clinics within the Bangladesh Dhaka metropolitan area as needed.
- Performance Standards: The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain a minimum equipment uptime of 97% for all critical care devices. Failure to meet this standard for two consecutive months shall constitute grounds for termination of this Purchase Order.
- Compliance: All services rendered under this Purchase Order shall comply with the Bangladesh Technical Standards and Testing (BTST) Act, the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006, and all applicable regulations of the Bangladesh Dhaka City Corporation.
- Confidentiality: The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient data, hospital operational procedures, and proprietary equipment specifications encountered during the course of employment in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 60 days' written notice. In the event of material breach, termination may be effected with 14 days' notice.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Bangladesh Dhaka in accordance with the Bangladesh Arbitration Act 2001.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Biomedical Engineer in the Bangladesh Dhaka metropolitan region. This document constitutes a binding agreement between the parties upon execution.
