The Biomedical Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform all duties in accordance with the professional standards established by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC). The scope encompasses the full lifecycle of the diagnostic imaging platform, from initial requirements gathering through to post-market surveillance. All deliverables must be completed at the vendor's office in Canada Vancouver or at the client's facility located at 4820 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC. The Biomedical Engineer is expected to produce detailed engineering drawings, test protocols, risk assessment reports (ISO 14971), and a comprehensive technical file suitable for submission to Health Canada.

  • Payment Terms: Net 30 days from the date of invoice. Payment shall be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the vendor's designated Canadian bank account. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-2025-04871).
  • Applicable Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
  • Intellectual Property: All work product, designs, documentation, and proprietary knowledge created by the Biomedical Engineer in the performance of this Purchase Order shall be the sole property of Northwest Pacific Medical Technologies Inc. upon full payment.

  • Regulatory Compliance: The Biomedical Engineer shall ensure all engineering activities comply with the Medical Devices Regulations (SOR/98-282), IEC 60601 series standards, and applicable British Columbia occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of termination, the client shall pay for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
  • Warranty: The Biomedical Engineer warrants that all services will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards in Canada Vancouver and the broader Canadian healthcare technology sector.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Vancouver, British Columbia, before resorting to litigation in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

All deliverables under this Purchase Order must be submitted to the client's project management office in Canada Vancouver no later than July 15, 2025. The client shall have fifteen (15) business days to review and accept or reject each deliverable. Rejection must be accompanied by a written description of non-conformities. The Biomedical Engineer shall have ten (10) business days to remediate any identified deficiencies at no additional cost to the client.
