The Biomedical Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties at the Netherlands Amsterdam site:
- Lead the design and iterative prototyping of two (2) new medical imaging modules in accordance with IEC 60601-1 safety standards.
- Conduct biocompatibility testing, risk analysis (ISO 14971), and design verification/verification protocols for all product deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation required for CE marking under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745) in coordination with the notified body.
- Supervise the calibration and maintenance of all laboratory instrumentation at the Netherlands Amsterdam facility, ensuring traceability to national metrology standards maintained by NMI (Netherlands Metrology Institute).
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Procurement Director and monthly technical presentations to the R&D leadership team.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and coordinate with external clinical partners at Amsterdam UMC for human factors and usability testing.
- 1. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
- 2. Confidentiality: The Biomedical Engineer and BioMed Consulting Group N.V. shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary data, patient information, and trade secrets encountered during the engagement in Netherlands Amsterdam. A separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is attached as Appendix B.
- 3. Intellectual Property: All work product, designs, patents, and inventions created by the Biomedical Engineer in the course of this Purchase Order shall be the sole property of MedTech Solutions B.V.
- 4. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of sixty (60) days. In the event of termination, the Biomedical Engineer shall complete all in-progress deliverables and hand over documentation within thirty (30) days.
- 5. Insurance and Liability: The vendor shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of €2,000,000 per occurrence, valid throughout the Netherlands, including the Amsterdam region.
- 6. Compliance: The Biomedical Engineer shall comply with all applicable Dutch labor laws, the Working Conditions Act (Arbeidsomstandighedenwet), and EU data protection regulations (GDPR) while performing services in Netherlands Amsterdam.
- 7. Acceptance: Deliverables shall be subject to a fifteen (15) business-day acceptance period. Rejection must be communicated in writing with specific reasons for non-conformance.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms, conditions, and scope of work defined in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Biomedical Engineer at the Netherlands Amsterdam facility. This document constitutes a binding procurement instrument upon execution by both authorized representatives.
