The Biomedical Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring full compliance with the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, the Department of Health (DOH) standards, and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 62353 guidelines applicable to medical device management in the Philippines.

3.1 This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Philippines Manila in accordance with the rules of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. (PDRCI).
3.2 The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain valid professional licensure from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines throughout the entire contract period. Failure to maintain licensure shall constitute grounds for immediate termination of this Purchase Order.
3.3 All services rendered under this Purchase Order shall be performed at the designated facilities in Philippines Manila as specified in Section 2. The Biomedical Engineer shall bear all travel and transportation costs within the Metro Manila area.
3.4 Payment shall be made on a monthly basis within thirty (30) calendar days from the receipt of a valid Official Receipt (OR) and a detailed timesheet or service report signed by the Purchasing Entity's Chief Medical Officer.
3.5 The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of PHP 5,000,000.00 for the duration of this Purchase Order.
3.6 All data, patient records, and proprietary information encountered during the performance of services under this Purchase Order shall be treated as strictly confidential in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
3.7 This Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with a thirty (30) day written notice. In the event of termination, the Purchasing Entity shall settle all outstanding payments for services already rendered.
4. COMMENCEMENT AND DURATIONThe services under this Purchase Order shall commence on July 1, 2025 and shall continue for a period of twelve (12) months, ending on June 30, 2026, unless renewed in writing by both parties. The Biomedical Engineer is expected to be physically present at the Philippines Manila main campus for a minimum of five (5) working days per week, with additional on-call availability as specified in the scope of work.
