Description of ProcurementThis Purchase Order is issued by Colombo Medical Equipment & Services (Pvt) Ltd. for the engagement of a qualified Biomedical Engineer to provide comprehensive technical services, equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance support for all biomedical devices and diagnostic equipment housed within our facilities located in Sri Lanka Colombo. The Biomedical Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring that all medical technology systems operate in accordance with the standards set forth by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) and the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka. The scope of this Purchase Order covers a twelve-month contractual engagement commencing upon acceptance of this document.

- 1. Scope of Work: The Biomedical Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform all duties in strict accordance with the professional standards of the Sri Lanka Institution of Engineers and the specific requirements outlined in the attached Service Level Agreement (SLA). All work shall be conducted at the premises located in Sri Lanka Colombo unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- 2. Payment Terms: Payment shall be made within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice. Invoices shall be submitted on a monthly basis. The total value of this Purchase Order is LKR 11,894,400 (Eleven Million Eight Hundred and Ninety-Four Thousand Four Hundred Sri Lankan Rupees) inclusive of all applicable taxes.
- 3. Performance Standards: The Biomedical Engineer shall respond to all emergency service calls within four (4) hours during business hours and within two (2) hours for critical life-support equipment failures. Monthly service reports shall be submitted by the 5th of the following month.
- 4. Compliance and Licensing: The Biomedical Engineer must hold a valid professional license issued by the Sri Lanka Institution of Engineers and maintain current certification in biomedical device maintenance. All work performed in Sri Lanka Colombo shall comply with local labor laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- 5. Confidentiality: The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient data, proprietary equipment configurations, and internal operational procedures of Colombo Medical Equipment & Services (Pvt) Ltd. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
- 6. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of material breach, the non-breaching party may terminate immediately upon written notice. All work completed prior to termination shall be invoiced and paid in accordance with the terms herein.
- 7. Insurance and Liability: The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of LKR 10,000,000 and public liability insurance of LKR 5,000,000 throughout the duration of this Purchase Order.
- 8. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising shall be resolved through arbitration in Sri Lanka Colombo in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Sri Lanka.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Biomedical Engineer in Sri Lanka Colombo. This document constitutes a binding agreement upon execution by both authorized representatives.
