3. SCOPE AND DELIVERABLES

The Biomedical Engineer or team of Biomedical Engineers engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties within all designated facilities in United Arab Emirates Dubai:

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance schedules for all Class II and Class III medical devices as mandated by the Dubai Health Authority.
  • Perform diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and recalibration of imaging systems including MRI (1.5T and 3T), CT scanners, digital X-ray units, and portable ultrasound machines.
  • Ensure all medical equipment meets the safety and performance standards outlined in the United Arab Emirates National Standards (UAE.S) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 62353 guidelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive digital asset registers and service logs for every piece of biomedical equipment under management in Dubai.
  • Coordinate with hospital clinical departments to minimize equipment downtime and ensure uninterrupted patient care delivery.
  • Provide monthly performance reports to the Dubai Health Authority Engineering Procurement Division detailing equipment reliability metrics, mean time between failures, and corrective actions taken.
  • Participate in capital equipment procurement evaluations, providing technical specifications and feasibility assessments for new Biomedical Engineer-recommended acquisitions.
4. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • Contract Duration: This Purchase Order is valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of acceptance, commencing 01 August 2025 and concluding 31 July 2026, unless renewed in writing by both parties.
  • Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in monthly installments within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. All payments shall be processed in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account in Dubai.
  • Compliance: The Biomedical Engineer and all supporting personnel must hold valid professional licenses issued by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) of the United Arab Emirates. Proof of licensure must be submitted prior to commencement of services.
  • Insurance: The supplier shall maintain comprehensive professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of AED 5,000,000, valid throughout the term of this Purchase Order in United Arab Emirates Dubai.
  • Confidentiality: All patient data, facility layouts, and proprietary equipment information accessed by the Biomedical Engineer during the course of service delivery shall be treated as strictly confidential in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
  • Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with sixty (60) days written notice. In the event of material breach, termination may be effected with fourteen (14) days notice.
  • Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, with jurisdiction vested in the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be referred to arbitration under the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).
