- Payment Terms: 30% advance payment upon acceptance of this Purchase Order; 40% upon completion of all fabrication at the Carpenter's workshop in Ngong Road, Nairobi; 30% upon final installation, inspection, and sign-off at the Karen, Nairobi site. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account specified above.
- Delivery and Installation: The Carpenter shall deliver all completed carpentry items to the project site in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya, no later than 20 July 2025. Full installation and finishing shall be completed by 30 July 2025. The Carpenter is responsible for all transport within Nairobi metropolitan area.
- Quality and Standards: All timber used must be sustainably sourced and certified by the Kenya Forest Service (KFS). All carpentry work must meet NCA (National Construction Authority) standards for residential construction in Kenya. The Carpenter shall provide a 24-month workmanship warranty on all items.
- Anti-Termite Compliance: Given the termite prevalence in the Nairobi region, all timber components must be treated with KPA-approved anti-termite chemicals prior to installation. The Carpenter shall provide a treatment certificate upon completion.
- Change Orders: Any modifications to the scope of this Purchase Order must be agreed in writing by both parties. The Carpenter shall submit a revised quotation for any additional work before commencing.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Nairobi, Kenya, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1995 of Kenya. The courts of Nairobi shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
- Insurance: The Carpenter shall maintain adequate public liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage as required by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and the Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA) of Kenya throughout the duration of this contract.
- Site Access: The Carpenter and his team shall have access to the Karen, Nairobi site between 07:00 and 18:00, Monday through Saturday. The Carpenter shall comply with all site safety regulations and Nairobi City County by-laws regarding construction noise and waste disposal.
- Validity: This Purchase Order is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. If not accepted within this period, the pricing and terms may be subject to revision.
