2. Scope of Work – Carpenter Services

This Purchase Order is issued by Al-Nakheel Construction & Interiors LLC to engage the services of a qualified Carpenter and associated woodwork team for the execution of custom joinery, cabinetry, and interior wood finishing works at the residential development site located in Kuwait Kuwait City. The Carpenter shall be responsible for all aspects of wood fabrication, installation, and finishing as detailed in the schedule below. All work must comply with the Kuwait Building Code, the specifications outlined in the project drawings (Rev. C), and the safety regulations enforced by the Public Works Authority (KPA) in Kuwait Kuwait City.

4. Delivery and Installation Schedule

All fabricated woodwork items shall be delivered to the project site in Kuwait Kuwait City (Salmiya District, Block 7, Street 12, Plot 45) no later than 30 June 2025. The Carpenter team shall commence on-site installation on 1 July 2025 and complete all works, including final finishing and cleanup, by 20 July 2025. The Carpenter is required to coordinate with the site engineer and the main contractor's schedule. Any delay beyond the agreed completion date shall incur a penalty of 0.5% of the total Purchase Order value per calendar day, capped at 10% of the total value.

5. Terms and Conditions

This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between Al-Nakheel Construction & Interiors LLC (Buyer) and Al-Rashid Carpentry & Woodwork Services (Supplier/Carpenter) upon signature by both parties.
All materials used by the Carpenter must be of premium grade, free from warping, knots, or insect damage. The Carpenter shall provide material certificates and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) compliance documentation upon request.
Payment shall be made in three milestones: 30% upon acceptance of this Purchase Order, 50% upon delivery and installation of all items at the Kuwait Kuwait City site, and 20% upon final inspection sign-off and handover.
The Carpenter shall maintain full public liability insurance (minimum KWD 500,000) and workers' compensation coverage for all personnel working on-site in Kuwait Kuwait City throughout the duration of the contract.
All workmanship shall carry a minimum 24-month warranty from the date of final acceptance. Any defects attributable to the Carpenter's workmanship or material selection must be rectified at no additional cost within 14 working days of written notice.
The Carpenter shall adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations as mandated by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Kuwait. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times on the Kuwait Kuwait City site.
Any variation or change order to the scope of this Purchase Order must be approved in writing by the Buyer's project manager before execution. Verbal instructions shall not be binding.
Governing law: The laws of the State of Kuwait. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the Kuwait Commercial Courts in Kuwait Kuwait City.
The Carpenter shall not subcontract any portion of the work without prior written consent from the Buyer. All labor must be legally employed and hold valid work permits issued by the Kuwaiti authorities.

6. Acceptance and Authorization

By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of Carpenter services in Kuwait Kuwait City. This document is valid for a period of 30 calendar days from the date of issue.
