The Carpenter shall commence works on 23 June 2025 at the project site in Parnell, Auckland, New Zealand. All structural carpentry works (Items 1 and 2) must be completed no later than 18 July 2025. Interior joinery and cabinetry (Items 3 and 4) are to be installed between 21 July and 8 August 2025. The deck and pergola (Item 5) shall be completed by 22 August 2025. Final finishing carpentry and site cleanup (Items 6 and 8) must be concluded by 5 September 2025. All materials must be sourced from approved New Zealand timber suppliers and comply with the New Zealand Standard NZS 3602 for structural timber.
PAYMENT TERMS- Payment Schedule: 30% deposit (NZD 31,567.50) due upon signing of this Purchase Order; 40% progress payment (NZD 42,090.00) due upon completion of structural carpentry; 30% final payment (NZD 31,567.50) due upon practical completion and sign-off by the buyer's project director.
- All payments shall be made by bank transfer to the Carpenter's nominated New Zealand bank account within 14 calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice.
- Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 10% per annum as prescribed under the New Zealand Late Payment of Debts (Interest) Act 2002.
- All amounts are quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of GST at the current 15% rate as administered by the Inland Revenue Department, New Zealand.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of New Zealand and shall be interpreted in accordance with the Auckland District Court jurisdiction.
- The Carpenter warrants that all work shall be performed in a workmanlike manner by a qualified and licensed Carpenter holding a valid New Zealand builder's licence and shall comply with all Auckland Council building consent conditions.
- The Carpenter shall maintain adequate public liability insurance (minimum NZD 20,000,000) and workers' compensation insurance throughout the duration of the project in Auckland.
- Any variations to the scope of carpentry work must be agreed in writing via a formal variation order prior to commencement. Verbal instructions do not constitute a valid variation under this Purchase Order.
- The Carpenter shall provide a 12-month workmanship warranty on all carpentry and joinery works completed in Auckland, New Zealand, commencing from the date of practical completion.
- Disputes arising under this Purchase Order shall first be referred to mediation under the New Zealand Disputes Resolution Act 2010 before any court proceedings are initiated.
- The Carpenter shall comply with all New Zealand Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 obligations and Auckland Council site safety requirements for the duration of the project.
