1. Scope of Purchase Order – Carpenter Work in Pakistan KarachiThis Purchase Order is issued by Al-Madina Construction & Interiors (Pvt.) Ltd. to engage the services of Master Karim Uddin, a licensed and experienced Carpenter operating out of Saddar Bazaar, Pakistan Karachi, for the design, fabrication, and installation of custom wooden furniture, interior paneling, and structural woodwork for the residential project located at DHA Phase 6, Karachi, Pakistan. - Delivery and Execution Location: All Carpenter work under this Purchase Order shall be executed at the project site located at DHA Phase 6, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. The Carpenter and his team shall report to the site daily between 08:00 AM and 06:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
- Timeline: The Carpenter shall commence work within 5 working days of receiving the advance payment and shall complete all woodwork within 45 calendar days from the commencement date. Any delay beyond this period shall attract a penalty of PKR 5,000 per day.
- Payment Terms: 30% advance payment (PKR 1,029,432) upon signing of this Purchase Order; 40% (PKR 1,372,576) upon completion of 60% of the Carpenter work as verified by the site supervisor; 30% (PKR 1,029,432) upon final inspection, acceptance, and handover at the Karachi site.
- Quality Standards: The Carpenter shall use only seasoned, knot-free hardwoods sourced from licensed timber dealers in Karachi, Pakistan. All joinery shall be executed to a tolerance of ±1.5 mm. Finishing shall include three coats of PU varnish with 24-hour drying intervals between coats.
- Warranty: The Carpenter provides a 24-month warranty on all fabricated woodwork against defects in workmanship, structural integrity, and hardware failure. The warranty is valid from the date of final acceptance in Pakistan Karachi.
- Compliance: The Carpenter shall comply with all applicable labor laws of the Sindh government, Pakistan, including the Sindh Shops and Establishments Ordinance, and shall provide all workers with proper safety equipment (dust masks, ear protection, safety glasses) while operating in the Karachi workshop and on-site.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Karachi, Pakistan, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1940 of Pakistan. The language of arbitration shall be English.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to monsoon flooding in Karachi, government-imposed lockdowns, or supply chain disruptions affecting timber availability in Pakistan.
- Intellectual Property: All custom designs developed by the Carpenter specifically for this Purchase Order shall remain the property of the Purchasing Party. The Carpenter shall not replicate or sell the same designs to other clients in Pakistan Karachi without written consent.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, specifically the Sindh provincial regulations applicable to Karachi.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that this Purchase Order for Carpenter services in Pakistan Karachi has been reviewed, understood, and agreed upon in all respects. This document constitutes a binding agreement between the Purchasing Party and the Carpenter for the scope of work described herein.
