All Carpenter works shall be carried out at the project site located at 120–134 Riverside Walk, Manchester, M3 4LW, United Kingdom. The Carpenter is required to present valid site induction documentation, personal protective equipment (PPE), and proof of public liability insurance (minimum £5,000,000) prior to commencing any work. Working hours at the United Kingdom Manchester site are Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00, with no weekend access permitted without prior written approval from the Buyer's site manager.
6. Payment Terms & Conditions- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Buyer and the Carpenter upon signature by both parties. All terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, applicable in United Kingdom Manchester.
- Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid VAT invoice from the Carpenter. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-2025-MCR-04872) and the project reference (MCR-RES-2025-011).
- Progress payments of 30% shall be released upon completion of structural timber framing (Line Item 01), 40% upon completion of all joinery and flooring (Line Items 02–06), and the remaining 30% upon final sign-off and handover.
- The Carpenter shall not subcontract any portion of the Carpenter works without prior written consent from the Buyer. Any approved subcontractor must hold equivalent qualifications and insurance.
- All timber and materials supplied by the Carpenter must comply with UK Building Regulations and carry appropriate FSC or PEFC certification where applicable.
- Defects discovered within twelve (12) months of completion shall be rectified by the Carpenter at no additional cost to the Buyer, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days' written notice in the event of material breach. Upon termination, the Buyer shall pay for all Carpenter work satisfactorily completed up to the date of termination.
- All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Manchester, United Kingdom, before any formal legal proceedings are initiated.
- The Carpenter acknowledges that all work performed under this Purchase Order in United Kingdom Manchester is subject to inspection by the Buyer's appointed quantity surveyor at any reasonable time during working hours.
