2. Professional Licensure: The Civil Engineer, Eng. Mahmoud Abdel-Rahman Tawfik, warrants that he holds a valid professional license issued by the Alexandria Governorate and is registered with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate. The Civil Engineer shall maintain this licensure throughout the duration of this Purchase Order.
3. Compliance with Alexandria Regulations: All structural designs, calculations, and supervision activities performed by the Civil Engineer shall conform to the Alexandria Municipal Building Code, the Egyptian Seismic Design Code (particularly relevant given Alexandria's coastal and seismic classification), and the Egyptian Civil Defense requirements for structural safety.
4. Delivery and Milestones: The Civil Engineer shall deliver all structural design documents within 45 calendar days of the Purchase Order acceptance date. Site supervision shall commence no later than 30 days after the Purchase Order effective date and shall continue for the full 14-month construction period in Alexandria.
5. Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in three installments: 30% upon Purchase Order acceptance, 40% upon completion and municipal approval of all structural drawings, and 30% upon final as-built certification. 8. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 30 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Civil Engineer shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the termination date, and all completed design documents shall be delivered to the Buyer.
9. Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters affecting the Alexandria coastline, government-mandated construction halts, or civil unrest within Egypt.
