This Purchase Order is issued by the Kenya Nairobi Infrastructure Development Authority (KNIDA) to engage the services of a qualified Civil Engineer for the design, supervision, and technical oversight of civil infrastructure works within the Kenya Nairobi metropolitan area. 1. Scope of Work – Civil Engineer ServicesThe Civil Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall provide the following professional services in Kenya Nairobi:

2. Terms and Conditions of this Purchase Order2.1 This Purchase Order is issued in accordance with the procurement policies of the Kenya Nairobi County Government and the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015. All services rendered by the Civil Engineer shall comply with the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) regulations applicable in Kenya Nairobi.
2.2 The Civil Engineer shall hold a valid professional license issued by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya and shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of not less than KES 50,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order. Proof of insurance shall be submitted prior to commencement of works in Kenya Nairobi.
2.3 Payment shall be made within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice and satisfactory completion certificate for each milestone. All payments shall be made in Kenya Shillings (KES) via bank transfer to the account designated by the Civil Engineer.
2.4 The Civil Engineer shall submit weekly progress reports to the KNIDA Project Manager stationed in Kenya Nairobi. Failure to submit reports for two consecutive weeks shall constitute a material breach of this Purchase Order.
2.5 All engineering designs, drawings, and reports produced under this Purchase Order shall become the exclusive property of the Kenya Nairobi Infrastructure Development Authority upon full payment. The Civil Engineer shall not reuse, reproduce, or disclose such documents to any third party without written consent.
2.6 The Civil Engineer shall comply with all occupational health and safety standards as prescribed by the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007 of Kenya. All site visits within Kenya Nairobi shall be conducted in full compliance with PPE requirements.
2.7 Any variation or amendment to the scope of work defined in this Purchase Order must be approved in writing by both parties. No additional work shall be undertaken by the Civil Engineer without a formal variation order issued by KNIDA.
2.8 Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Kenya Nairobi in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1995 of Kenya. The courts of Kenya Nairobi shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
3. Acceptance and AuthorizationBy signing below, both parties acknowledge and accept the terms, conditions, and scope of work outlined in this Purchase Order. The Civil Engineer confirms that all services described herein fall within their professional competence and licensure as a registered Civil Engineer in Kenya.
