- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between Al-Nile Infrastructure Development Company Ltd. and the named Civil Engineer upon signature by both parties. All terms herein shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Sudan and the commercial regulations of Sudan Khartoum.
- The Civil Engineer shall maintain valid professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of SDG 5,000,000 for the duration of the project and shall provide a certificate of insurance prior to commencing work on site in Sudan Khartoum.
- All deliverables, including structural reports, drawings, and supervision logs, shall be submitted in both Arabic and English to satisfy the documentation requirements of the Khartoum State Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.
- Payment shall be released in three milestones: 30% upon completion of the structural assessment (Item 01), 40% upon submission of all design documents (Item 02), and 30% upon final handover certification (Item 05). Each payment is subject to a valid tax invoice and a signed progress certificate by the Project Director.
- The Civil Engineer shall not subcontract any portion of the professional engineering services without prior written approval from the Buyer. Any approved subcontracting shall not relieve the Civil Engineer of full responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the work.
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to flooding of the Blue Nile or White Nile rivers affecting the Sudan Khartoum project site, shall extend the project timeline on a day-for-day basis without penalty to either party.
- Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation under the Sudanese Engineers Association (SWEA) dispute resolution framework before escalation to the Commercial Court of Khartoum.
- The Civil Engineer shall comply with all occupational health and safety regulations enforced by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in Sudan Khartoum, including mandatory PPE on all construction sites.
- This Purchase Order is valid for acceptance within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of issue. Failure to sign and return within this period shall render this Purchase Order null and void.
This Purchase Order has been reviewed and approved by the Procurement Committee of Al-Nile Infrastructure Development Company Ltd. for the engagement of the above-named Civil Engineer for the Khartoum North Bridge Rehabilitation project in Sudan Khartoum. The total committed expenditure of SDG 2,255,000 (inclusive of VAT) has been allocated from the 2025 Capital Expenditure budget under cost center CC-2025-KHRT-014.
