Description of Services – Computer Engineer Engagement
This Purchase Order authorizes the procurement of specialized professional services rendered by a qualified Computer Engineer to support the ongoing infrastructure modernization, systems architecture design, and embedded computing development projects undertaken by Pacific Northwest Technology Solutions Inc. The Computer Engineer shall be physically based in Canada Vancouver and shall conduct all on-site work at the client's primary facility located at 1200 Granville Street, Canada Vancouver, BC. The scope of work encompasses hardware-software co-design, performance optimization of distributed computing systems, firmware development for industrial IoT gateways, and comprehensive technical documentation in accordance with Canadian engineering standards and the Professional Engineers Ordinance of British Columbia.
The Computer Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a valid P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) license issued by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC) and possess a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in computer architecture, digital systems design, and real-time embedded computing. All deliverables must comply with the Canadian Information Protection Act, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and applicable municipal bylaws governing technology operations in Canada Vancouver.

Terms and Conditions
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Canada Vancouver. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Canada Vancouver in accordance with the BC Arbitration Act.
- The Computer Engineer shall commence services no later than July 1, 2025, and shall complete all deliverables by October 31, 2025, unless otherwise amended in writing by both parties.
- Payment terms: Net 30 days from receipt of a valid invoice. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-2025-CVE-04872) and include the vendor's Business Number for GST/HST remittance purposes in Canada Vancouver.
- The Computer Engineer shall maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of CAD $2,000,000 per occurrence, valid throughout the term of this Purchase Order.
- All intellectual property, designs, firmware code, and documentation produced under this Purchase Order shall be the sole property of Pacific Northwest Technology Solutions Inc. upon full payment.
- The vendor shall comply with all applicable employment standards, workplace safety regulations (WorkSafeBC), and data protection obligations specific to operations in Canada Vancouver.
- Early termination may be invoked by either party with thirty (30) days written notice. In such event, the Computer Engineer shall be compensated for all hours worked and approved deliverables completed up to the termination date.
- This Purchase Order does not constitute an employment relationship. The Computer Engineer is engaged as an independent contractor or through their corporate entity.
Delivery and Commencement Details
All on-site services under this Purchase Order shall be performed at the client's facility in Canada Vancouver, BC, during standard business hours (08:00–17:00 PST). The Computer Engineer is expected to be on-site a minimum of four (4) days per week, with remote work permitted on the fifth day subject to project milestones. Travel within the Canada Vancouver metropolitan area for site visits to secondary facilities is included in the hourly rates specified above.
