The Curriculum Developer shall be responsible for the following core activities within the New Zealand Auckland education sector:
- Conducting a full needs analysis across 14 partner schools located throughout the New Zealand Auckland region, including North Shore, Manukau, and the central city clusters.
- Designing a cross-disciplinary curriculum framework for Years 9 through 13, incorporating Mâori and Pasifika pedagogical principles as mandated by the New Zealand Auckland education strategy.
- Developing 240+ individual learning units with embedded assessment rubrics, differentiated learning pathways, and digital resource integrations.
- Delivering two (2) professional development workshops per term for 320 classroom teachers across the New Zealand Auckland partner schools.
- Providing ongoing advisory support to school-based curriculum coordinators throughout the contract period.
- Producing a final Curriculum Developer report documenting all design decisions, pedagogical rationale, and implementation recommendations.

- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, specifically the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 as applicable to New Zealand Auckland commercial transactions.
- Intellectual Property: All curriculum materials, frameworks, and documentation produced by the Curriculum Developer under this Purchase Order shall become the sole intellectual property of the Auckland Regional Education Consortium upon full payment. The Curriculum Developer retains the right to reference the engagement in professional portfolios with prior written consent.
- Confidentiality: The Curriculum Developer agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student data, school operational information, and internal strategy documents encountered during work in the New Zealand Auckland education sector. This obligation survives termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
- Compliance: The Curriculum Developer must hold a valid New Zealand teaching or education design qualification (minimum NZ Certificate in Education, Level 7) and must comply with all New Zealand Auckland regional health and safety requirements, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
- Acceptance: All deliverables shall be subject to a 14-business-day review period by the Auckland Regional Education Consortium. Acceptance is deemed granted if no written objection is lodged within this period.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 30 days’ written notice. In the event of termination, the Curriculum Developer shall be compensated for all work completed and accepted up to the termination date.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation in New Zealand Auckland under the rules of the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Service. If unresolved, matters shall be referred to the District Court of Auckland, New Zealand.
- Insurance: The Curriculum Developer shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of no less than NZD $5,000,000 and public liability insurance of no less than NZD $10,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order.
Payment under this Purchase Order shall be made in accordance with the following milestone schedule. All invoices shall be submitted to the Auckland Regional Education Consortium accounts payable department and must reference Purchase Order number PO-AKL-2025-04871.
- Milestone 1 (30%): Upon completion and acceptance of the Needs Analysis — NZD $73,347.00
- Milestone 2 (40%): Upon delivery and acceptance of the full Curriculum Developer framework and 240 learning units — NZD $97,796.00
- Milestone 3 (20%): Upon completion of all 8 professional development workshops — NZD $48,898.00
- Milestone 4 (10%): Upon submission and acceptance of the final report and digital resource package — NZD $24,449.00
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Curriculum Developer within the New Zealand Auckland education sector. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement upon execution by both authorised representatives.
