This Purchase Order authorizes the procurement of a qualified Data Scientist to be deployed at our operational headquarters in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The Data Scientist shall be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining machine learning models that drive strategic business decisions. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing predictive analytics solutions for customer segmentation and churn reduction; engineering robust data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud-based infrastructure; collaborating with cross-functional teams in the Abidjan office to translate business problems into data-driven solutions; and presenting findings to executive leadership in both French and English. The Data Scientist must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, and possess a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in applied machine learning. Fluency in French is mandatory given the operational language of the Abidjan office, and working proficiency in English is required for reporting to the regional headquarters.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), including the Ivorian Code of Obligations and the applicable labor code provisions relevant to the engagement of a Data Scientist.
- Payment Schedule: Payment for the Data Scientist's monthly services shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice. The lump-sum items (onboarding and compliance) shall be invoiced upon completion and paid within fifteen (15) days.
- Performance Standards: The Data Scientist shall meet the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the attached Service Level Agreement (SLA). Failure to meet deliverable milestones for two consecutive months shall entitle the ordering party to issue a formal notice of non-performance.
- Confidentiality: The Data Scientist shall sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to commencing work in Abidjan. All proprietary data, algorithms, and business intelligence accessed during the engagement remain the exclusive property of Global Analytics & Solutions (GAS) Côte d'Ivoire.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of sixty (60) days. In the event of termination, the Data Scientist's final compensation shall be prorated based on the actual days of service rendered in Abidjan.
- Compliance with Local Regulations: The vendor shall ensure that the Data Scientist's employment is fully compliant with all applicable regulations in Ivory Coast, including but not limited to the registration with the Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale (CNSS), payment of applicable withholding taxes, and adherence to the Ivorian working hours and leave provisions.
- Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be referred to the competent commercial courts of Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, or government-mandated closures affecting operations in Abidjan.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Data Scientist in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. This document constitutes a binding procurement instrument and supersedes all prior verbal or written communications regarding this specific engagement.
