The engagement is specifically tailored to support the Buyer's ongoing digital transformation initiative headquartered in Nepal Kathmandu, where the Data Scientist will operate on-site at the Buyer's Baneshwor office for a minimum of four (4) days per week.

The Data Scientist engaged under this Purchase Order must satisfy the following minimum qualifications and competencies:
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field from a recognized institution in Nepal or internationally.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional experience as a Data Scientist, with at least two (2) years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and at least one major machine learning framework (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Proven experience in deploying data science solutions within the South Asian or Nepali business context, with familiarity to the regulatory and data-privacy landscape of Nepal Kathmandu.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Nepali, as the Data Scientist will present findings to senior leadership and cross-functional teams based in Nepal Kathmandu.
- Valid work authorization or employment eligibility in the Kingdom of Nepal, as required by the Department of Industry, Kathmandu.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Nepal, including the Contract Act, 2023 (2056 BS) and the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2063 (2006). Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration seated in Nepal Kathmandu under the Arbitration Act, 2055 (1998).
- Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in quarterly installments within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice from the Seller. The first installment of NPR 1,572,500 shall be due upon successful onboarding of the Data Scientist at the Buyer's Nepal Kathmandu office. Subsequent quarterly payments of NPR 1,572,500 each shall follow.
- Performance Milestones: The Data Scientist shall submit a detailed project plan within ten (10) business days of commencing work in Nepal Kathmandu. Monthly progress reports shall be submitted to the Buyer's Project Management Office by the fifth (5th) business day of each month.
- Confidentiality & Data Protection: The Data Scientist shall adhere strictly to the Buyer's Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and the Personal Data Protection Act, 2075 (2018) of Nepal. All datasets, models, and intellectual property developed under this Purchase Order shall remain the exclusive property of the Buyer.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of material breach, the non-breaching party may terminate immediately upon written notice. Upon termination, the Seller shall ensure a smooth transition of all Data Scientist deliverables and documentation to the Buyer within fourteen (14) days.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters (earthquakes, floods common in the Nepal Kathmandu valley), government-imposed lockdowns, or pandemics.
- Compliance: The Seller warrants that the Data Scientist engaged under this Purchase Order shall comply with all applicable labor laws, tax obligations, and professional licensing requirements in Nepal. The Seller shall maintain all necessary insurance coverage for the duration of the engagement in Nepal Kathmandu.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in this Purchase Order for the procurement of Data Scientist services in Nepal Kathmandu. This document constitutes a binding agreement upon execution by both authorized signatories.
