Digital access credentials for The Economist online platform shall be provisioned to the Brisbane IT department no later than five (5) business days following written confirmation of this Purchase Order. All digital licences are restricted to use within the jurisdiction of Australia and are subject to the terms of service published by The Economist Group.
- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding offer by Meridian Corporate Services Pty Ltd to purchase the goods and services of The Economist as described herein. Acceptance of this Purchase Order by the supplier shall create a legally enforceable contract governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
- All pricing is quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and is inclusive of any applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) as per the Australian Taxation Office regulations. No additional charges shall be levied without prior written amendment to this Purchase Order.
- Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice from the supplier. Payment will be processed via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the supplier's nominated bank account in Australia.
- The supplier warrants that all copies of The Economist delivered under this Purchase Order shall be in pristine condition, free from damage, and conform to the current edition specifications. Any defective items must be reported to the Brisbane procurement team within fourteen (14) days of delivery.
- Delivery of all physical items to the Brisbane, Australia address shall be completed no later than 31 July 2025. Failure to meet this deadline shall entitle Meridian Corporate Services Pty Ltd to withhold payment for the affected line items and to claim reasonable storage or replacement costs.
- This Purchase Order may not be assigned or transferred by either party without the prior written consent of the other. All intellectual property rights in The Economist publications remain the sole property of The Economist Group.
- Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, in accordance with the Queensland Uniform Mediation Act 2011, before any litigation is commenced.
- The supplier acknowledges that this Purchase Order has been issued in accordance with Meridian Corporate Services Pty Ltd's internal procurement policies and the relevant Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2, Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Cth).
This Purchase Order has been reviewed and authorised for release to the supplier. By signing below, the undersigned confirms that the funds for this Purchase Order have been allocated within the Brisbane, Australia operational budget for the 2025–2026 financial year and that the purchase of The Economist subscriptions and services is in the best interest of the organisation.
