All prices are quoted in Chinese Yuan (CNY) unless otherwise stated. Exchange rate fluctuations beyond ±3% shall be subject to mutual renegotiation between both parties.
All print editions of The Economist shall be delivered to the buyer's registered office in China Shanghai, Pudong New Area, no later than the 15th of each month following the publication date. Digital access licenses and API credentials shall be provisioned within five (5) business days of confirmed payment. The Economist Summit passes and training workshop confirmations shall be issued no later than thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled event dates in China Shanghai.
Delivery terms: DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) – China Shanghai, 200120. The vendor assumes all risk of loss until goods are received and signed for by the buyer's logistics coordinator at the Shanghai destination address.
Payment shall be made via telegraphic transfer (T/T) to the vendor's designated bank account. A 40% advance payment (CNY 416,456.00) is due within ten (10) business days of Purchase Order acceptance. The remaining 60% balance (CNY 624,684.00) shall be settled within thirty (30) days of full delivery and acceptance of all items listed in Section 2. Late payments shall incur a penalty of 0.05% per calendar day on the outstanding balance.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from the procurement of Economist publications and services for use in China Shanghai shall be resolved through arbitration at the Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC).
- The vendor warrants that all Economist content, including articles, data, and analysis, is original, free of intellectual property infringement, and compliant with Chinese publishing and import regulations.
- The buyer reserves the right to inspect and verify all delivered Economist materials upon receipt in China Shanghai. Any discrepancies must be reported within seven (7) business days of delivery.
- Confidentiality: All economic data, forecasts, and proprietary Economist Intelligence Unit reports procured under this Purchase Order shall be treated as confidential by the buyer and shall not be redistributed to third parties without written consent from The Economist Group.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by natural disasters, government trade restrictions, or other events beyond reasonable control affecting delivery to or from China Shanghai.
- This Purchase Order becomes effective upon written signature by both parties and remains valid for the calendar year 2025 unless terminated earlier by mutual written agreement.
