All physical copies of The Economist shall be delivered to the buyer's designated receiving office at 142 Corniche El-Nil Street, El-Montaza District, Alexandria, Egypt. Delivery shall be arranged through a licensed international courier service approved by the Egyptian Customs Authority. The supplier is responsible for all export documentation from the United Kingdom and for ensuring that all goods clear Egyptian customs at Alexandria Port without delay. The buyer shall provide a valid import license and any required permits from the Egyptian General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC) prior to shipment. Digital access credentials for The Economist platform shall be delivered electronically to the buyer's IT department within five (5) business days of confirmed payment.

  1. Acceptance: This Purchase Order becomes a binding contract upon written acceptance by The Economist Group. The supplier shall confirm acceptance in writing within ten (10) business days of receipt of this Purchase Order.
  2. Payment: Payment shall be made via international wire transfer to the supplier's designated bank account within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date. All payments shall be processed through the Central Bank of Egypt in compliance with Egyptian foreign exchange regulations. The buyer reserves the right to pay in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) at the prevailing Central Bank of Egypt exchange rate on the date of payment.
  3. Intellectual Property: All content of The Economist magazine, including articles, data sets, charts, and multimedia materials, remains the exclusive intellectual property of The Economist Group. The institutional license granted herein permits internal research, academic citation, and limited reproduction for educational purposes within the Alexandria Institute. No commercial redistribution is permitted.
  4. Warranty: The supplier warrants that all physical copies of The Economist delivered under this Purchase Order shall be in pristine condition, free from damage, and complete. Any defective or missing issues shall be replaced within fourteen (14) days at no additional cost to the buyer.
  5. Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government sanctions, port closures at Alexandria, or international shipping disruptions.
  6. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved through arbitration in Alexandria, Egypt, in accordance with the rules of the Egyptian Arbitration Center.
  7. Confidentiality: Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the terms of this Purchase Order and any proprietary information exchanged in connection with the procurement of The Economist subscription services.
  8. Compliance: The buyer confirms that this Purchase Order complies with all applicable Egyptian laws, including the Egyptian Copyright Law (Law No. 82 of 2002), the Egyptian Customs Law, and the regulations of the Egyptian Competition Authority.

This Purchase Order has been duly authorized and approved by the undersigned representatives of both parties. By signing below, each party acknowledges and agrees to all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this document regarding the procurement of The Economist publication and associated services for use in Alexandria, Egypt.
