All print materials shall be delivered to the Addis Ababa Economic Research Institute premises located on Bole Road, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The regional distributor, Horn of Africa Periodicals & Media Distribution PLC, shall handle all logistics from the port of entry at Bole International Airport (ADD) through to final delivery at the buyer's office. Digital access credentials for The Economist platform shall be provisioned within five (5) business days of confirmed payment. The delivery schedule for weekly print editions shall align with the standard publication cycle of The Economist, with copies arriving in Addis Ababa no later than three (3) business days after the UK publication date.

This Purchase Order is governed by the commercial laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and, where applicable, the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice. The buyer's bank is the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa Main Branch, Account No. ETB-001-4487-2210.
All goods are subject to inspection upon arrival in Addis Ababa. Any discrepancies, damage in transit, or non-conformity must be reported in writing within seven (7) business days of delivery.
The supplier warrants that all copies of The Economist magazine are genuine, unaltered publications and that digital licenses are valid, non-transferable, and limited to the named institution in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Force majeure events, including but not limited to air cargo disruptions at Bole International Airport, government import restrictions in Ethiopia, or foreign exchange allocation delays by the National Bank of Ethiopia, shall extend delivery timelines proportionally without penalty to either party.
Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in accordance with the rules of the Ethiopian Arbitration and Conciliation Institute.
This Purchase Order becomes effective upon signature by both parties and remains valid until the completion of all listed items or the expiration date stated above, whichever occurs first.

Note: This Purchase Order is issued in accordance with the internal procurement policy of the Addis Ababa Economic Research Institute and complies with the Ethiopian Federal Procurement and Property Administration Proclamation No. 1160/2019. The acquisition of The Economist subscription and print materials supports the Institute's mandate to provide evidence-based economic analysis and policy research for the Government of Ethiopia and the broader East African community. All imported print materials are exempt from certain excise duties under the Ethiopian Customs Service classification for educational and research publications (HS Code 4901.99).
