This Purchase Order is issued by the West African Development & Trade Consortium to formally engage the services of a qualified Economist for the duration of the contract period. The Economist shall provide comprehensive macroeconomic analysis, trade policy advisory, and fiscal forecasting services specifically tailored to the economic landscape of Ivory Coast Abidjan and the broader West African sub-region. All deliverables under this Purchase Order must reflect current data from the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), the Ivorian National Institute of Statistics (INSD), and relevant ECOWAS trade databases.

Scope of Engagement: The Economist engaged under this Purchase Order shall act as an independent professional consultant. All analyses, reports, and recommendations must be grounded in peer-reviewed economic methodology and current data specific to Ivory Coast Abidjan and the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU).
Performance Standards: The Economist shall deliver all reports and deliverables within the timelines specified in this Purchase Order. Late delivery beyond five (5) business days without written justification may result in a 2% penalty per day of delay on the affected line item.
Confidentiality: All data, financial models, and strategic recommendations produced under this Purchase Order are the exclusive property of WADTC. The Economist shall not disclose, publish, or share any proprietary information with third parties without prior written consent.
Payment Schedule: Invoices shall be submitted monthly. Payment shall be processed within thirty (30) calendar days of invoice receipt via bank transfer to the account designated by the Economist. All payments are denominated in XOF and subject to applicable Ivorian tax regulations.
Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with sixty (60) days written notice. In the event of termination, the Economist shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ivory Coast, particularly the Ivorian Commercial Code and the WAEMU harmonized commercial law. Disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Intellectual Property: All models, datasets, and analytical frameworks developed specifically for WADTC under this Purchase Order shall remain the intellectual property of WADTC. The Economist retains the right to use general methodologies and publicly available data in future independent work.
Compliance: The Economist warrants that all services rendered comply with the professional standards set by the Ivorian Order of Economists and the ethical guidelines of the International Association for Research in Income and Wealth (IARIW).

By signing below, the parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Economist in Ivory Coast Abidjan.
