Terms and Conditions of This Purchase Order
- This Purchase Order is issued by the Yangon Business Intelligence & Research Centre for the procurement of The Economist publications and related materials for use within its Myanmar Yangon office premises and affiliated research facilities.
- All items listed in this Purchase Order shall be delivered to the designated receiving address in Yangon, Myanmar, no later than 30 days from the date of issue. The supplier shall bear full responsibility for international shipping, customs clearance in Myanmar, and final delivery to the Yangon facility.
- Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of the commercial invoice and confirmed delivery of all The Economist materials at the Myanmar Yangon receiving point. Payment shall be processed via wire transfer to the supplier's designated account as specified above.
- The digital subscription to The Economist shall be activated no later than five (5) business days following confirmation of this Purchase Order. Access credentials shall be provided to the designated administrator at the Myanmar Yangon office.
- All print materials of The Economist must be in pristine condition upon arrival in Yangon. Any damaged, waterlogged, or incomplete issues shall be replaced at the supplier's expense within fourteen (14) days of written notice from the buyer.
- This Purchase Order is subject to the commercial laws of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and applicable international trade regulations. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Yangon, Myanmar, in accordance with the rules of the Myanmar Arbitration Centre.
- The supplier warrants that all copies of The Economist provided under this Purchase Order are authentic, legally published, and free from any intellectual property encumbrances. The supplier further warrants compliance with Myanmar's import regulations for printed and digital media materials.
- Neither party shall be liable for delays or non-performance caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government sanctions, or disruptions to international shipping routes affecting delivery to Myanmar Yangon.
- This Purchase Order constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the procurement of The Economist materials for the Myanmar Yangon operation and supersedes all prior negotiations, representations, or agreements.
- Any amendments to this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by authorized representatives of both the Myanmar Yangon purchasing entity and The Economist Group's International Distribution Division.
