Digital access credentials for The Economist subscriptions and archive licenses shall be transmitted electronically to the designated IT administrator at Al-Madina Media within five (5) business days of confirmed payment. Print deliveries must arrive at the Karachi office no later than 30 July 2025. The supplier shall bear all risk of loss or damage until the goods are received and signed for at the Karachi delivery address. All shipments must comply with the import regulations of the Pakistan Customs Department and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Karachi Division.

Payment for this Purchase Order shall be made in United States Dollars (USD) via international wire transfer to the supplier's designated bank account. The payment schedule is as follows:

50% Advance Payment: USD 7,636.00 due within seven (7) business days of acceptance of this Purchase Order.
50% Balance Payment: USD 7,636.00 due within fourteen (14) business days of confirmed delivery of all items to Karachi, Pakistan.

All bank transfer charges on the supplier's side shall be borne by the supplier. Charges on the buyer's side shall be borne by Al-Madina Media & Publications (Pvt.) Ltd. Payment shall be made from our account at National Bank of Pakistan, Clifton Branch, Karachi, Account No. 0045-8821-3367-0012, SWIFT: NBPKPKKA.

This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, specifically the Sale of Goods Act, 1930, and applicable international trade regulations. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Karachi, Pakistan.
The supplier warrants that all copies of The Economist provided under this Purchase Order are genuine, legally published, and free from any intellectual property encumbrances. The supplier shall indemnify the buyer against any claims of copyright infringement or unauthorized reproduction.
The buyer reserves the right to inspect all delivered goods upon arrival in Karachi, Pakistan. Any damaged, defective, or non-conforming items must be reported within ten (10) business days of delivery. The supplier shall replace or refund non-conforming items at no additional cost to the buyer.
Time is of the essence. Failure to deliver all items by the stipulated delivery date shall entitle the buyer to a penalty of 1.5% of the total Purchase Order value per week of delay, up to a maximum of 10%.
This Purchase Order becomes binding upon written acceptance by both parties. No modification or amendment shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by authorized representatives of both parties.
The supplier shall provide a valid commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and all documents required by Pakistan Customs for the clearance of imported publications at Karachi Port or Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
Force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government sanctions, or international shipping disruptions, shall excuse timely performance. The affected party must notify the other within 48 hours of the occurrence.
All personal data exchanged under this Purchase Order shall be handled in accordance with Pakistan's Personal Data Protection Bill and applicable data privacy regulations.
