- 3.1 This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Buyer and the Supplier upon signature by both parties. All terms herein shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, applicable within the United Kingdom Manchester jurisdiction.
- 3.2 The Electrical Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a valid UK Engineering Council (UKCEng) Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) registration, along with a current Gas Safe registration where applicable, and must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of post-qualification experience in industrial electrical engineering.
- 3.3 The Supplier shall ensure that the Electrical Engineer maintains comprehensive Professional Indemnity Insurance of no less than £5,000,000 and Public Liability Insurance of no less than £10,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order.
- 3.4 All work performed under this Purchase Order must comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, the Building Regulations (Part P) as applicable in United Kingdom Manchester, and the relevant British Standards including BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and BS EN 61439.
- 3.5 Payment terms: Net 30 days from receipt of a valid invoice. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-UKM-2025-04872) and be submitted to the Buyer's accounts department at the Manchester address listed above.
- 3.6 The Electrical Engineer shall provide a written progress report to the Buyer's project manager on a fortnightly basis, detailing completed tasks, outstanding items, and any risks or delays affecting the project timeline in United Kingdom Manchester.
- 3.7 The Buyer reserves the right to terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days' written notice in the event of material breach, failure to meet safety standards, or persistent underperformance by the Electrical Engineer.
- 3.8 All intellectual property, design documents, and technical data produced under this Purchase Order shall remain the sole property of the Buyer upon full payment.
- 3.9 The Supplier warrants that the Electrical Engineer shall not be engaged in any conflicting employment or consultancy arrangement that would create a conflict of interest with the Buyer's operations in United Kingdom Manchester.
- 3.10 Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Manchester, United Kingdom, before proceeding to arbitration under the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
The Electrical Engineer shall report to the Buyer's primary site at 42 Deansgate Square, Manchester, M3 4ER, United Kingdom, on a Monday to Friday basis between 08:00 and 17:00, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Site access passes, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and induction training specific to the United Kingdom Manchester facility will be provided by the Buyer upon commencement of this Purchase Order. The Electrical Engineer is required to attend all scheduled project meetings held at the Buyer's Manchester headquarters.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and accept all terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of an Electrical Engineer in United Kingdom Manchester. This document is valid for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of issue.
