This Purchase Order is issued by AquaTerra Iberia S.L. to formally request the engagement of a qualified Environmental Engineer to deliver comprehensive environmental assessment, compliance, and remediation services for the Barcelona metropolitan area. The Environmental Engineer shall operate under the jurisdiction of Spain Barcelona, adhering to all applicable national and regional regulations, including those established by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition, and the European Union Environmental Directives transposed into Spanish law.
The scope of work assigned to the Environmental Engineer encompasses the following deliverables to be executed within the Spain Barcelona region:
- Conduct a full environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the proposed industrial expansion facility located in the Zona Franca district of Barcelona, Spain.
- Prepare and submit the Environmental Impact Report to the Agència Catalana de l'Aigua (ACA) and the Conselleria d'Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural.
- Perform soil and groundwater contamination sampling and analysis at three designated sites in the Barcelona metropolitan area, in compliance with Royal Decree 9/2005 on contaminated land.
- Develop a Waste Management and Circular Economy Plan aligned with the Barcelona 2030 Sustainability Strategy and the EU Waste Framework Directive (2008/98/EC).
- Design an industrial wastewater treatment system ensuring discharge compliance with the limits set by the Spanish Water Law (Ley de Aguas, Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2001) and the Barcelona Water Authority (Autoritat del Cicle Urban de l'Aigua de Barcelona).
- Provide ongoing environmental monitoring and quarterly compliance reporting for a period of twelve (12) months following project commissioning.
- Coordinate with local authorities in Spain Barcelona, including the Ajuntament de Barcelona and the Institut Català d'Energia (ICAEN), to obtain all necessary environmental permits and authorisations.

- Acceptance: This Purchase Order becomes binding upon written acceptance by the service provider. The Environmental Engineer shall confirm acceptance in writing within ten (10) business days of receipt of this document.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made within thirty (30) days from the date of invoice. A 30% advance payment is due upon contract signing. The remaining balance shall be paid in four equal quarterly instalments aligned with the monitoring and reporting schedule. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account designated by GreenScope Engineering Consultancy S.L.
- Qualifications: The Environmental Engineer assigned to this Purchase Order must hold a recognised degree in Environmental Engineering (Ingeniería Ambiental) from a Spanish or EU-accredited university, possess a minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in Spain Barcelona or equivalent Mediterranean regulatory environments, and be registered with the Col·legi d'Enginyers Tècnics Industrials de Barcelona (CETIB).
- Compliance: All services rendered under this Purchase Order shall comply with Spanish national law, the legislation of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and all applicable EU environmental directives. The Environmental Engineer shall ensure full adherence to the Barcelona 2030 Climate and Energy Plan and the local urban planning regulations (Pla d'Ordenació Urbanística Municipal – POUM) of the Ajuntament de Barcelona.
- Confidentiality: The Environmental Engineer and all sub-consultants engaged under this Purchase Order shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all data, site information, and proprietary materials encountered during the execution of services in Spain Barcelona.
- Insurance: The service provider shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 1,000,000 per claim, valid throughout the duration of the engagement in Spain Barcelona.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Environmental Engineer shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the termination date, less any applicable deductions.
