This Purchase Order is issued by the Manchester Metropolitan Infrastructure Authority (hereinafter referred to as the "Authority") to procure the professional services of a qualified Environmental Engineer to be deployed and operated within the United Kingdom Manchester metropolitan area. The engagement is intended to support the Authority's ongoing programme of sustainable urban development, water resource management, and environmental compliance across the Greater Manchester region.
The Environmental Engineer shall be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) registered with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), holding a minimum of ten (10) years of post-qualification experience in environmental assessment, pollution control, and ecological impact mitigation. The Environmental Engineer must demonstrate proven expertise in the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), flood risk evaluations, air quality modelling, and waste management strategy planning as required under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017 (as amended) and the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of United Kingdom Manchester or, where applicable, the courts of England and Wales.
- Payment Terms: Invoices shall be submitted monthly in arrears. Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice. All payments shall be made via BACS transfer to the bank account designated by GreenScape Environmental Consulting Ltd. Late payment shall attract interest at the rate prescribed under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- Commencement and Duration: The Environmental Engineer shall commence duties on or before 01 July 2025. The initial contract period shall be twelve (12) months, with the option to extend for a further six (6) months by mutual written agreement. All site-based work shall be conducted within the United Kingdom Manchester metropolitan boundary unless prior written approval is granted by the Authority.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: The Environmental Engineer shall comply with all applicable health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and all site-specific safety plans. The Environmental Engineer shall maintain valid professional indemnity insurance of no less than £5,000,000 per claim throughout the duration of this Purchase Order.
- Intellectual Property: All reports, assessments, models, and documentation produced by the Environmental Engineer under this Purchase Order shall become the sole property of the Manchester Metropolitan Infrastructure Authority upon full payment. The Environmental Engineer shall not reuse, publish, or disclose any project-specific data without written consent.
- Confidentiality: Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information exchanged in connection with this Purchase Order. This obligation shall survive termination of the contract for a period of five (5) years.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order by providing thirty (30) days' written notice. The Authority may terminate immediately in the event of material breach, insolvency, or failure to meet statutory environmental compliance obligations.
- Subcontracting: The Environmental Engineer shall not subcontract any portion of the services described in this Purchase Order without the prior written consent of the Authority. Any approved subcontractor shall be bound by the same terms and conditions.
- Anti-Bribery and Corruption: The Service Provider warrants compliance with the UK Bribery Act 2010. Any breach of this clause shall constitute grounds for immediate termination of this Purchase Order.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or pandemics affecting operations in United Kingdom Manchester.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of an Environmental Engineer in United Kingdom Manchester. This document constitutes a binding agreement upon execution by both authorised signatories.
