- This Purchase Order is issued in accordance with the City of Chicago Procurement Code (Municipal Code of Chicago, Chapter 3, Article 10) and all applicable United States federal procurement regulations.
- The Environmental Engineer named in this Purchase Order shall maintain a valid Illinois Professional Engineer license throughout the duration of the engagement and shall carry professional liability insurance of no less than $2,000,000 per occurrence.
- All work performed under this Purchase Order shall be conducted within the geographic boundaries of United States Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, unless prior written authorization is granted by the Buyer for off-site laboratory analysis.
- Payment shall be made within forty-five (45) calendar days of receipt of a properly invoiced deliverable. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (CH-ENV-2025-04872) and the applicable line item.
- The Environmental Engineer shall submit a detailed project schedule within ten (10) business days of Purchase Order acceptance. Milestone deliverables are subject to Buyer review and written acceptance before invoicing.
- All data, reports, models, and engineering drawings produced under this Purchase Order shall become the property of the City of Chicago upon full payment. The Environmental Engineer retains the right to use anonymized data for academic publication with prior written consent.
- Any change in scope, schedule, or cost exceeding five percent (5%) of the total Purchase Order value requires a formal Change Order signed by both parties.
- This Purchase Order is subject to termination for convenience by the Buyer with thirty (30) days written notice. In such event, the Environmental Engineer shall be compensated for all work completed and documented through the termination date.
- The Environmental Engineer shall comply with all applicable environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and Illinois Environmental Protection Act, as they pertain to work performed in United States Chicago.
- Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Cook County, United States Chicago, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
By signing below, the Vendor acknowledges receipt of this Purchase Order and agrees to perform the Environmental Engineer services described herein in full compliance with all stated terms, conditions, and regulatory requirements applicable to the United States Chicago jurisdiction.
