This Purchase Order is issued by Pacific Meridian Productions Ltd. to formally engage the services of Film Director Mr. Jonathan R. Whitfield for the principal direction of the feature-length documentary production titled "Tides of the Hauraki". The engagement is to be carried out within the metropolitan region of New Zealand Auckland and its surrounding production locations, including but not limited to the Waitematā Harbour, the Hauraki Gulf, and the Auckland Film Studios complex located in Māngere.
The Film Director shall be responsible for the complete creative and operational direction of the production, including but not limited to: pre-production planning and script development oversight; casting coordination with local New Zealand Auckland talent agencies; on-set direction of principal photography across a minimum of twenty-two (22) shooting days; post-production supervision including editing, colour grading, and final sound mixing; and delivery of the finished master in formats compliant with the New Zealand Film Commission distribution standards.

- 30% of the total Purchase Order value (NZD 45,909.15) shall be due upon execution of this Purchase Order and confirmation of the Film Director's engagement.
- 40% of the total Purchase Order value (NZD 61,212.20) shall be due upon completion of principal photography in New Zealand Auckland.
- 30% of the total Purchase Order value (NZD 45,909.15) shall be due upon final delivery and acceptance of the completed master by Pacific Meridian Productions Ltd.
- All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account nominated by the Film Director in writing. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-NZ-AKL-2025-04782).
- Payment is due within fourteen (14) calendar days of invoice receipt in accordance with the New Zealand Payment of Outstanding Debts Act 2004.
- This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, specifically the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 and the Copyright Act 1994.
- The Film Director warrants that all creative materials, direction, and artistic contributions delivered under this Purchase Order shall be original and free from any third-party intellectual property claims.
- All footage, scripts, and creative assets produced during the engagement in New Zealand Auckland shall become the sole property of Pacific Meridian Productions Ltd. upon full payment of this Purchase Order.
- The Film Director shall comply with all applicable New Zealand workplace health and safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and shall maintain adequate professional indemnity and public liability insurance for the duration of the engagement.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Film Director shall be compensated for all work completed and documented up to the date of termination.
- Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in New Zealand Auckland in accordance with the Disputes Standards Act 2017 before any litigation is commenced.
- The Film Director acknowledges that all production activities shall be conducted in compliance with the New Zealand Film Commission's industry standards and any applicable Māori cultural protocols relevant to filming in the Auckland region.
The Film Director shall deliver the final completed master, all associated project files, and a written creative report to Pacific Meridian Productions Ltd. at their Auckland CBD office no later than 30 September 2025. Acceptance shall be confirmed in writing within ten (10) business days of delivery. Failure to confirm acceptance within this period shall constitute deemed acceptance under this Purchase Order.
