Terms and Conditions of This Purchase Order
- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Harare Fire & Rescue Services Authority and the named supplier for the procurement of Firefighter personal protective equipment, breathing apparatus, communication devices, and training materials.
- All Firefighter equipment supplied under this Purchase Order must comply with the applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and the Zimbabwe National Standards (ZS) as adopted by the Standards Association of Zimbabwe.
- Delivery of all items shall be made to the Harare Fire Station depot located at 22 Independence Avenue, Zimbabwe Harare, between 08:00 and 16:00 on any business day. The supplier is responsible for all transportation, insurance, and risk of loss until goods are received and signed for at the Zimbabwe Harare delivery point.
- The supplier shall provide a minimum 24-month warranty on all Firefighter equipment listed in this Purchase Order. Any defective items discovered within the warranty period shall be replaced at no additional cost to the Authority.
- Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account within 45 calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. Late payments shall attract interest at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe's prevailing base rate plus 2% per annum.
- The supplier must submit a detailed delivery schedule with this Purchase Order acknowledgment, specifying the phased delivery of Firefighter SCBA units, turnout gear, and electronic equipment to the various fire stations across Zimbabwe Harare (including Borrowdale, Avondale, Msasa, and the Central Station).
- All Firefighter electronic equipment (thermal imaging cameras, radiotelephones) must be calibrated and tested prior to delivery. The supplier shall provide calibration certificates and user manuals in English for each unit.
- This Purchase Order is subject to the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Zimbabwe Harare in accordance with the Arbitration Act [Chapter 7:15] of the Laws of Zimbabwe.
- The supplier acknowledges that the equipment procured under this Purchase Order is intended for the protection and operational readiness of Firefighter personnel serving the residents of Zimbabwe Harare and the surrounding metropolitan area.
- Any amendments to this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by both parties. Verbal modifications are not valid.
