This Purchase Order is issued by the East African Geological Development Authority to engage a qualified Geologist for the execution of comprehensive geological survey, site assessment, and environmental impact evaluation services within the Kenya Nairobi metropolitan area and its surrounding counties. The Geologist shall perform all duties in strict accordance with the Kenya Geological Survey (KGS) standards, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) regulations, and the applicable provisions of the Kenya Environment Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) 1999, as amended.
The engagement of the Geologist under this Purchase Order covers the following specific deliverables to be completed within the Kenya Nairobi region:
- Conduct a detailed geological mapping exercise covering a 45-hectare proposed industrial development site located along the Mombasa Road corridor in Kenya Nairobi, including identification of bedrock formations, soil strata, and subsurface water table levels.
- Perform geotechnical borehole drilling (minimum of twelve (12) boreholes at 30-metre depth) and laboratory analysis of core samples to determine bearing capacity, permeability, and seismic vulnerability of the Kenya Nairobi site.
- Prepare a comprehensive Geological Risk Assessment Report addressing landslide susceptibility, fault-line proximity, and groundwater contamination risks specific to the Kenya Nairobi geological context.
- Provide expert testimony and written advisory opinions to the Kenya Nairobi County Planning Authority regarding the structural integrity and environmental compliance of the proposed development.
- Deliver a final consolidated report, including GIS-mapped geological data, to the Buyer's office in Kenya Nairobi within the stipulated project timeline.

- Advance Payment (30%): KES 2,533,440 shall be remitted within five (5) business days of the Buyer's written acceptance of this Purchase Order, payable to Mwangi Geological Consulting Ltd. via bank transfer to the account designated in Kenya Nairobi.
- Progress Payment (40%): KES 3,377,920 shall be due upon the Geologist's submission and the Buyer's approval of the interim field survey report and borehole data, expected no later than 45 days from the commencement date.
- Final Payment (30%): KES 2,533,440 shall be due upon delivery, review, and formal acceptance of the final consolidated Geological Risk Assessment Report and all GIS deliverables at the Buyer's Kenya Nairobi office.
- All payments shall be made in Kenyan Shillings (KES) to the following account: Bank of Africa, Branch: Westlands, Kenya Nairobi; Account Name: Mwangi Geological Consulting Ltd.; Account No.: 0102-4587-9921.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, including the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (2015) and the Kenya Geological Survey Act.
- The Geologist shall maintain valid professional indemnity insurance of not less than KES 10,000,000 for the duration of the engagement and shall provide a certificate of insurance to the Buyer prior to commencing fieldwork in Kenya Nairobi.
- All work performed under this Purchase Order shall comply with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards mandated by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) for operations within Kenya Nairobi.
- The Geologist shall not subcontract any portion of the geological survey or analytical work without prior written consent from the Buyer's Procurement Director in Kenya Nairobi.
- Confidentiality: All geological data, borehole records, and proprietary information generated under this Purchase Order shall remain the exclusive property of the Buyer. The Geologist shall not disclose, publish, or share such data with any third party without written authorization.
- Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation in Kenya Nairobi. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration Act (Cap 49) of the Laws of Kenya, with the seat of arbitration in Kenya Nairobi.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Geologist shall be compensated for all work satisfactorily completed up to the date of termination, as verified by the Buyer's project officer in Kenya Nairobi.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or civil unrest affecting operations in Kenya Nairobi.
