This Purchase Order is issued by Petronas Geoscience Division Sdn. Bhd. to formally engage the services of a qualified Geologist and associated geological field team for a comprehensive subsurface geological assessment project located in and around the Malaysia Kuala Lumpur metropolitan region. The engagement of the Geologist is required to support the buyer's infrastructure development programme, which involves detailed geological mapping, soil and rock classification, and geotechnical risk assessment for a proposed high-speed rail corridor passing through the central districts of Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
The Geologist engaged under this Purchase Order shall hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Geology or a related earth science discipline, possess at least ten (10) years of professional experience in Malaysian geological conditions, and be registered with the Malaysian Board of Geologists (MBG). The Geologist shall be the principal technical lead responsible for all geological interpretations, borehole logging, and final geological reporting for the project situated in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.

- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Buyer and the Supplier upon signature by both parties. All services described herein shall be performed in accordance with the Malaysian Standard MS 1503 (Geotechnical Investigation and Testing) and the guidelines issued by the Department of Geoscience, Malaysia.
- The Geologist and all supporting field personnel shall comply with all applicable Malaysian occupational health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA) and the Mines and Minerals Act 1976, while conducting fieldwork in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur and its surrounding areas.
- Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of invoice submission. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-ML-2025-00472) and shall be submitted to the Buyer's accounts payable department in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
- The Geologist shall submit a preliminary geological progress report every fourteen (14) days during the active fieldwork phase. The final certified geological report shall be delivered within twenty-one (21) days of the completion of all field activities in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
- All geological data, core samples, borehole logs, and reports generated under this Purchase Order shall remain the exclusive property of the Buyer. The Geologist and the Supplier shall not disclose, publish, or share any project-specific geological information pertaining to the Malaysia Kuala Lumpur site without prior written consent.
- The Supplier shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of MYR 5,000,000 and public liability insurance of MYR 2,000,000 for the duration of the engagement. Certificates of insurance shall be provided to the Buyer prior to the commencement of fieldwork in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
- Any variation or amendment to the scope of geological services under this Purchase Order must be agreed upon in writing by both parties. No additional work by the Geologist team shall be commenced without a formal variation order referencing this Purchase Order.
- This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through arbitration in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur in accordance with the Arbitration Act 2005 of Malaysia.
- The Geologist shall ensure that all fieldwork activities in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur are conducted in a manner that minimises environmental disturbance and complies with the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and all relevant local council regulations of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
All deliverables, including the final geological report, 3D subsurface model, and supporting data sets, shall be delivered electronically (PDF and GIS-compatible formats) and in hard copy (three (3) bound copies) to the Buyer's project office in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. Acceptance of deliverables shall be confirmed in writing by the Buyer's project manager within ten (10) business days of receipt. Failure to confirm acceptance within this period shall constitute deemed acceptance under this Purchase Order.
