Payment for this Purchase Order shall be made via bank transfer (virement bancaire) to the IBAN specified in Section 1. The total sum of €12,600.00 (twelve thousand six hundred euros) is due within thirty (30) calendar days of the final delivery of all deliverables and acceptance by the editorial director of Méditerranée Presse Group. A 1.5% monthly late-payment interest rate shall apply in accordance with French commercial law (Article L441-10 of the Code de commerce). The Journalist shall issue a compliant French invoice (facture) referencing this Purchase Order number (PO-FRM-2025-04872) prior to payment processing.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order and the engagement of the Journalist are governed by the laws of the French Republic. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tribunal de Commerce de Marseille, France Marseille.
- Intellectual Property: All written articles, photographs, video recordings, and audio files produced under this Purchase Order shall become the exclusive property of Méditerranée Presse Group upon full payment. The Journalist retains the right to display the work in a personal portfolio with prior written attribution.
- Confidentiality: The Journalist agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding unpublished sources, internal editorial strategies, and any non-public information obtained during the engagement in France Marseille. This obligation survives for a period of twenty-four (24) months following the conclusion of the contract.
- Compliance: The Journalist warrants that they hold a valid Carte de Presse and shall comply with all applicable French press regulations, data protection requirements under the GDPR (Règlement Général sur la Protection des Données), and local municipal permits required for filming or photography in public spaces within Marseille.
- Insurance: The Journalist shall maintain professional liability insurance (assurance responsabilité civile professionnelle) with a minimum coverage of €1,000,000 for the entire duration of the engagement. A certificate of insurance shall be provided upon request.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of fourteen (14) days. In the event of early termination, the Journalist shall be compensated for all work completed and accepted up to the date of termination, plus a 10% cancellation fee on the remaining balance.
