All deliverables must comply with the data protection regulations of the European Union, specifically the GDPR as implemented in Germany (BDSG), particularly regarding the handling of personal data collected during reporting activities conducted in Germany Berlin.

- 1. Scope of Work: The Journalist shall perform all duties outlined in this Purchase Order with professional diligence, adhering to the ethical standards of the German Press Council (Deutscher Presserat). All reporting must be conducted within the legal framework of the Federal Republic of Germany, with primary operations based in Germany Berlin.
- 2. Intellectual Property: All articles, scripts, photographs, audio recordings, and multimedia content produced by the Journalist under this Purchase Order shall become the exclusive property of Berlin Media Group GmbH upon full payment. The Journalist retains the right of attribution (Namenrecht) in accordance with German copyright law (Urheberrechtsgesetz).
- 3. Confidentiality: The Journalist agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding unpublished sources, internal editorial strategies, and proprietary information of Berlin Media Group GmbH. This obligation extends for a period of three (3) years following the termination of this engagement.
- 4. Compliance with German Law: The Journalist shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Germany Berlin, including but not limited to the German Press Law (Pressegesetz), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the German Copyright Act (UrhG).
- 5. Payment: Invoices shall be submitted monthly in arrears. Payment shall be made via bank transfer within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice. Late payments shall incur interest at the statutory rate under Section 288 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
- 6. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Journalist shall deliver all completed and in-progress work products to Berlin Media Group GmbH.
- 7. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Germany Berlin. The parties agree to attempt mediation before initiating formal legal proceedings.
- 8. Insurance: The Journalist shall maintain professional liability insurance (Berufshaftpflichtversicherung) with a minimum coverage of EUR 500,000 for the duration of this engagement in Germany Berlin.
This Purchase Order is authorized and approved for execution. The engagement of the Journalist is subject to the final acceptance of the Editorial Board of Berlin Media Group GmbH. All terms herein are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, with Germany Berlin as the designated place of performance.
