- Governing Law: This Purchase Order and the services described herein shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, specifically as applicable in the Auckland region. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the Disputes Tribunal of New Zealand or the District Court of Auckland, as appropriate.
- Intellectual Property: Upon full and final payment, all rights to the Journalist's written work, photographs, and video content produced under this Purchase Order shall transfer to Auckland Media & Communications Ltd. The Journalist retains the right to be credited as the author and creator of the work in all published and broadcast materials.
- Confidentiality: The Journalist agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, internal documents, and unpublished data provided by the issuing organisation during the course of the engagement in New Zealand Auckland. This obligation survives the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of three (3) years.
- Compliance with Media Ethics: The Journalist warrants that all reporting and content produced under this Purchase Order will comply with the New Zealand Press Council Code of Ethics, the Broadcasting Standards Authority guidelines (where applicable), and the New Zealand Media and Communications Commission regulations.
- Payment Schedule: A deposit of fifty percent (50%) of the total Purchase Order value, amounting to NZD 10,424.75, is due within seven (7) business days of acceptance of this Purchase Order. The remaining fifty percent (50%), amounting to NZD 10,424.75, is due within thirty (30) days of delivery and acceptance of the final content package.
- Delivery and Acceptance: All deliverables must be submitted to the procurement officer at Auckland Media & Communications Ltd., Level 12, 100 Queen Street, Auckland, New Zealand, no later than 30 June 2025. The organisation reserves the right to request one (1) round of minor revisions within ten (10) business days of initial delivery.
- Insurance and Indemnity: The Journalist shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of NZD 2,000,000 for the duration of the engagement. The Journalist shall indemnify the issuing organisation against any claims arising from defamation, breach of privacy, or copyright infringement in the content produced under this Purchase Order.
- Cancellation: Either party may cancel this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days written notice. In the event of cancellation by the issuing organisation after fieldwork has commenced, the Journalist shall be compensated for all work completed and reasonable expenses incurred up to the date of cancellation.
This Purchase Order is authorised for issue by the undersigned on behalf of Auckland Media & Communications Ltd. The Journalist, Ms. Catherine R. Whitmore, is requested to confirm acceptance of this Purchase Order by signing and returning a copy to the procurement department within five (5) business days of receipt. Failure to confirm acceptance within this period shall render this Purchase Order null and void.

This Purchase Order is specific to the New Zealand Auckland region and all fieldwork, interviews, and content production must be conducted within the Auckland Council boundaries unless prior written approval is obtained from the issuing organisation. The Journalist is expected to adhere to all local bylaws, council permits, and public access regulations applicable in New Zealand Auckland. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account nominated by the Journalist on the accepted Purchase Order.
