5.1 This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of New Zealand and shall be interpreted in accordance with the New Zealand Contract and Commercial Law Act 2014.
5.2 The Journalist agrees to deliver all work products in accordance with the timeline specified in Schedule A (attached separately). Failure to meet delivery milestones without written approval from the Purchasing Entity may result in a penalty of 5% of the total Purchase Order value per week of delay.
5.3 All content produced under this Purchase Order shall be the exclusive intellectual property of Wellington Media & Communications Group Ltd upon full payment. The Journalist retains the right to be credited as the author of all published material.
5.4 The Journalist shall adhere to the New Zealand Press Council Code of Ethics, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, and all applicable defamation and contempt of court legislation in the production of all work.
5.5 Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the account nominated by the Journalist within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. The invoice must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-WGW-2025-0417).
5.6 All work shall be performed within the New Zealand Wellington metropolitan area unless prior written consent is obtained for travel to other regions of New Zealand.
5.7 This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement of both parties. Any variation in scope, cost, or timeline must be documented as a formal amendment to this Purchase Order.
5.8 In the event of a dispute arising from this Purchase Order, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through mediation under the New Zealand Disputes Resolution Act 2010 before pursuing litigation in the District Court of New Zealand Wellington.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of Journalist services in New Zealand Wellington.
