This Purchase Order is issued by Capital Media & Communications Pvt. Ltd., a registered media organization operating in Pakistan Islamabad, to formally engage the services of Mr. Ahmed Raza Khan, a licensed and accredited Journalist holding a valid press card issued by the Press and Publication Registration Authority (PPRA) of Pakistan. The Journalist shall provide professional editorial, reporting, and content development services as detailed in the schedule below. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the parties and shall be governed by the contractual laws applicable in Pakistan Islamabad.

  1. Acceptance: This Purchase Order shall become effective upon written acceptance by the Journalist (Mr. Ahmed Raza Khan) by signing and returning a copy of this document within five (5) working days of the date of issue. Failure to accept within the stipulated period shall render this Purchase Order null and void.
  2. Scope of Work: The Journalist shall perform all services in accordance with the professional standards of journalism as recognized by the PPRA and the Code of Ethics for Journalists in Pakistan. All content produced under this Purchase Order shall be original, factually accurate, and free from plagiarism.
  3. Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in three (3) installments: 40% upon acceptance of this Purchase Order, 40% upon delivery of 50% of the agreed services, and the remaining 20% upon final delivery and acceptance of all deliverables. All payments shall be processed via bank transfer to the account designated by the Journalist in Pakistan Islamabad.
  4. Intellectual Property: Upon full payment, all rights to the content, recordings, photographs, and written materials produced by the Journalist under this Purchase Order shall vest in Capital Media & Communications Pvt. Ltd. The Journalist retains the right to be credited as the author or correspondent.
  5. Confidentiality: The Journalist shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding any unpublished information, source identities, and internal organizational matters encountered during the course of work in Pakistan Islamabad. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of two (2) years.
  6. Compliance with Law: The Journalist warrants that he holds a valid press card and shall comply with all applicable laws of Pakistan, including the Press and Publication Ordinance, the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, and any regulations enforced by the PPRA. Any violation shall result in immediate termination of this Purchase Order.
  7. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Journalist shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the date of termination, and all completed deliverables shall be handed over to the organization.
  8. Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising from or in connection with this Purchase Order shall first be attempted to be resolved through amicable negotiation. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be referred to the competent courts in Pakistan Islamabad or to an arbitrator appointed under the Arbitration Act, 1940 of Pakistan.
  9. Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or public health emergencies in Pakistan Islamabad.
  10. Entire Agreement: This Purchase Order, together with any annexures and the PPRA Code of Ethics, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the engagement of the Journalist and supersedes all prior negotiations, representations, or agreements.
Note: This Purchase Order is issued in accordance with the procurement policies of Capital Media & Communications Pvt. Ltd. and the commercial laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Journalist is engaged as an independent contractor and not as an employee of the organization. All services shall be rendered at the designated work locations in Pakistan Islamabad unless otherwise agreed in writing.
