- This Purchase Order is issued by East African Media Group Ltd., Kampala, Uganda, and constitutes a binding agreement for the procurement of journalism services and professional equipment as detailed above. The Journalist, Mr. David Okello Mutesa, accepts the terms herein by signing this document.
- All services rendered by the Journalist shall be conducted in full compliance with the Uganda Media Council Code of Ethics, the Uganda Press and Journalists Act (Cap 230), and all applicable laws of the Republic of Uganda. The Journalist shall maintain valid professional registration throughout the service period.
- Equipment items listed in this Purchase Order (items 3, 4, and 5) shall be delivered to the East African Media Group premises on Kampala Road, Uganda Kampala, no later than 28 June 2025. All equipment shall be new, unused, and accompanied by manufacturer warranties of no less than twelve (12) months.
- Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the Journalist's designated account at Stanbic Bank Uganda, Kampala branch, within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 2% per month as stipulated under Uganda commercial law.
- The Journalist shall submit a detailed monthly activity report to the Managing Editor, Uganda Kampala newsroom, by the 5th business day of each subsequent month. Failure to submit reports for two consecutive months may result in suspension of this Purchase Order at the sole discretion of East African Media Group Ltd.
- All intellectual property, including but not limited to written articles, photographs, audio recordings, and video footage produced by the Journalist under this Purchase Order, shall be the exclusive property of East African Media Group Ltd. The Journalist retains the right to use such material for personal portfolio purposes with prior written consent.
- This Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, all equipment procured under this Purchase Order shall be returned to East African Media Group Ltd. in Uganda Kampala in the condition received, subject to normal wear and tear.
- Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Kampala, Uganda, in accordance with the Uganda Arbitration Act. The courts of Uganda Kampala shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
- This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. All communications related to this Purchase Order shall be directed to the Procurement Department, East African Media Group Ltd., Kampala Road, Uganda Kampala.
