Terms and Conditions1. Governing Law: This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Belgium. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium Brussels, specifically the Court of First Instance of Brussels.
2. Delivery: The supplier shall deliver all goods and complete all installation services at the Palais de Justice, Rue du Palais de Justice 1, 1000 Belgium Brussels, no later than 15 August 2025. Delivery shall be made during standard court operating hours (08:00–17:00, Monday to Friday), subject to prior coordination with the court security office in Belgium Brussels.
3. Acceptance: The Judge's designated administrative assistant shall inspect all delivered items upon arrival. A written acceptance certificate must be signed within five (5) business days of delivery. Any defects or non-conformities must be reported in writing within this period.
4. Payment: Payment shall be made by bank transfer to the supplier's designated Belgian bank account within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice, provided that all goods have been accepted and all services completed to the satisfaction of the purchasing authority.
5. Warranty: All goods carry a minimum warranty of twelve (12) months from the date of acceptance. The Judge's gavel, seal, and robe carry a warranty of twenty-four (24) months. The supplier shall repair or replace any defective item at no additional cost to the Court.
6. Compliance: All items must comply with Belgian and European Union regulations, including but not limited to the Belgian Accessibility Act, EU REACH regulations for materials, and the specific dress code and equipment standards set forth by the Belgian Judicial Council (Conseil de la Justice) for Judges serving in Belgium Brussels.
7. Confidentiality: The supplier acknowledges that this Purchase Order relates to the operational equipment of a sitting Judge in Belgium Brussels. The supplier shall not disclose the identity of the Judge, the specific courtroom, or any details of this procurement to any third party without prior written consent from the Court Administration.
8. Cancellation: The purchasing authority reserves the right to cancel this Purchase Order in whole or in part up to fourteen (14) days prior to the delivery deadline, in which case the supplier shall be compensated for documented, non-recoverable costs incurred up to the date of cancellation.
9. Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or government-mandated closures of the Palais de Justice in Belgium Brussels.
