Terms and Conditions
- All items listed in this Purchase Order are specifically procured for the use of the Honourable Judge presiding at the Colombo District Court, Sri Lanka. The items shall be delivered, installed, and commissioned at the designated Judge's chamber on the second floor of the Colombo District Court building.
- The supplier shall ensure that all furniture and equipment comply with the specifications outlined by the Department of Justice, Sri Lanka, and shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a minimum warranty period of two (2) years from the date of installation.
- Delivery shall be made no later than 15 July 2025. The supplier is responsible for all transportation, handling, and installation costs within Colombo, Sri Lanka. Any delay beyond the stipulated deadline shall incur a penalty of 0.5% of the total order value per day of delay.
- Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid tax invoice and a signed delivery and installation certificate by the Court Administrator, Colombo District Court.
- The supplier shall provide a comprehensive installation report and a user manual for all electronic and audio-visual equipment. Training for court staff on the operation of the AV system and security package shall be included at no additional cost.
- All items must be new, unused, and of the highest quality suitable for a judicial office in Sri Lanka. The Judge's bench, gavel, and court emblem shall be crafted in accordance with the traditional design standards of the Sri Lankan judiciary.
- This Purchase Order is subject to the approval of the Chief Justice's Office, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Any modifications to the scope of work or item specifications must be approved in writing by the Procurement Officer, Department of Justice, prior to execution.
- The supplier shall maintain confidentiality regarding all details of this Purchase Order and the specific requirements of the Judge's chamber. No information shall be disclosed to third parties without written consent from the Department of Justice, Sri Lanka.
- Governance of this Purchase Order shall be under the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from this order shall be resolved through the Colombo District Court or as otherwise directed by the relevant judicial authority.
