Terms and Conditions of this Purchase Order

  1. Delivery: All items listed in this Purchase Order shall be delivered, installed, and made fully operational at the High Court of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, Sokoine Avenue, no later than 30 July 2025. The Supplier bears all risk of loss or damage until the Judge’s office signs the delivery acceptance certificate.
  2. Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in two installments: fifty percent (50%) upon successful delivery and inspection of all goods at the Dar es Salaam judicial complex, and the remaining fifty percent (50%) within thirty (30) days after the Judge’s presiding officer certifies full operational readiness of all equipment. Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the Supplier’s designated account in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS).
  3. Warranty: The Supplier guarantees a minimum warranty period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of installation for all electronic and mechanical items. The Judge’s gavel, robes, and furniture carry a twelve (12) month warranty against manufacturing defects. Any defective item shall be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the Judiciary of Tanzania.
  4. Compliance: All goods must conform to the specifications outlined in this Purchase Order and to the procurement regulations of the United Republic of Tanzania as published in the Official Gazette. The Supplier warrants that all items are new, unused, and free from any encumbrance or intellectual property claim.
  5. Installation and Training: The Supplier shall provide on-site installation of all audio, visual, and electrical systems. Additionally, the Supplier shall conduct a two-day training session for the Judge’s clerks and court registrars on the operation of the electronic legal research terminals and courtroom display systems.
  6. Penalties for Delay: In the event of delayed delivery beyond the stipulated date, the Supplier shall pay a penalty of 0.5% of the total Purchase Order value per calendar day of delay, up to a maximum of 10% of the total value. Delays exceeding thirty (30) days entitle the Judiciary of Tanzania to cancel this Purchase Order without further liability.
  7. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
  8. Confidentiality: The Supplier acknowledges that the equipment procured under this Purchase Order is intended for the exclusive use of the Judge and the judicial proceedings of the High Court of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam. The Supplier shall not disclose the nature, quantity, or specifications of the goods to any third party without written consent from the Office of the Chief Justice.
