Terms and Conditions
1. This Purchase Order is issued by the Office of the Judge, Hon. Marcus T. Whitfield, Presiding Judge, Department 27, Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, United States. All items listed herein are procured for official judicial use within the Los Angeles court system.
2. The vendor shall deliver all goods to the specified delivery location in Los Angeles, California, no later than the Required Delivery Date stated above. Late delivery beyond five (5) business days shall result in a penalty of 2% of the total Purchase Order value per day of delay.
3. All items must comply with the standards set forth by the California Judicial Council and the administrative rules governing the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. The Judge's chambers staff shall inspect all deliveries upon arrival and issue a written acceptance or rejection notice within three (3) business days.
4. Payment shall be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the vendor's designated account within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice and confirmed delivery. The Purchase Order number LA-JDG-2025-04872 must be referenced on all invoices.
5. The vendor warrants that all goods are new, free from defects, and conform to the specifications outlined in this Purchase Order. A minimum two-year warranty is required on all furniture and electronic equipment. The Judge's office reserves the right to reject non-conforming items at the vendor's expense.
6. This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States. Any disputes arising from this order shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles.
7. The vendor acknowledges that all items purchased under this Purchase Order are intended for the official use of a Judge of the Superior Court in the United States Los Angeles judicial district and shall be handled with the dignity and security befitting the judicial branch.
8. This Purchase Order may not be modified, amended, or cancelled without the written consent of both parties. Any changes must be documented in a formal amendment signed by the Judge's authorized representative and the vendor's principal officer.
