The Laboratory Technician engaged under this Purchase Order must satisfy the following minimum qualifications and competencies as mandated for laboratory operations in Bangladesh Dhaka:
- A minimum of a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution in Bangladesh or an equivalently accredited foreign university.
- Valid registration with the Bangladesh Medical Laboratory Technicians Association (BMLTA) and a current DGHS license for practice in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in clinical laboratory settings, including proficiency in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology.
- Demonstrated competency in operating automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Working knowledge of biosafety protocols, waste disposal regulations, and quality control standards as enforced by the Bangladesh National Laboratory Accreditation Programme (BNLAP).
- Fluency in Bengali and functional proficiency in English for documentation and reporting purposes.
The Laboratory Technician shall report for duty at the Dhaka Metropolitan Clinical Research Institute premises, located at Plot 42, Gulshan Avenue, Bangladesh Dhaka, no later than 01 July 2025. The service period shall commence on the date of actual reporting and shall continue for a continuous twelve (12) month period, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this Purchase Order. Any extension of the engagement beyond the initial term shall require a written amendment to this Purchase Order signed by both parties.
- Payment shall be made in monthly installments via bank transfer to the account designated by MedStaff Professional Services Ltd. The first installment shall be due within fifteen (15) calendar days from the commencement date.
- All payments are denominated in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and shall be processed through a licensed commercial bank operating in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- A 1.5% late payment penalty shall be applied for any installment not received within the stipulated due date, in accordance with standard commercial practice in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- The Service Provider shall issue a valid tax invoice for each monthly payment, referencing this Purchase Order number (BD-DHK-LAB-2025-0472).
- Withholding tax, if applicable under the Income Tax Ordinance of Bangladesh, shall be deducted at source by the Purchasing Entity and remitted to the relevant tax authority in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Purchasing Entity and the Service Provider upon signature by both authorized representatives.
- The Laboratory Technician shall adhere to all institutional policies, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines of the Dhaka Metropolitan Clinical Research Institute throughout the engagement period.
- The Service Provider warrants that the Laboratory Technician shall not be under any conflicting employment or contractual obligation at the time of engagement in Bangladesh Dhaka.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Purchasing Entity shall be liable for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
- All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. Failing resolution, the matter shall be referred to the appropriate commercial court in Bangladesh Dhaka in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
- Confidentiality: All patient data, research findings, and proprietary information encountered by the Laboratory Technician during the course of employment shall remain strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third party without written consent.
- This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, with jurisdiction vested in the courts of Bangladesh Dhaka.
